Reply with quote | #1 | Mike,
Really dug Shine On. I'm with Murray that the bass-line was phenomonal and the song itself was taken from a dark place despite the positive sentiment.
I particularly liked the lead acoustic line you pulled out for the bridge. Rock!
Also, thanks for the background on Wonderland. It's always fun to learn about the genesis of favorite songs.
Cheers,

Reply with quote | #2 | I second that. I really really liked it. This is a different sound for MG, and I am excited to hear the next full length album. It's cool to hear the song in it's naked phase and be apart of how it progresses to the point of being album ready. This is one of many things that I like about the podcasts. Thanks again Mike for answering the mailbag question.

Reply with quote | #4 | Aaah . . . I was trying to think of the name of the song that I liked so much from the Deep South show. Mike, I think Shine On is the best song of the latest batch. It has a really great energy to it. I think it really stood out as something that I would want to hear on an album.
There was another song that I thought counterpointed it really well . . . the title is right on the tip of my fingers . . .
