what do you think about drum machines? are they worth using to add drum tracks into my music ?

Drum machines are great for mapping out a basic rhythm for a song. A real set of drums is ideal for rock music. It's the heart of the sound.

Rather than a drum machine, I'd recommend trying loops or discrete drums.

But, still, drum machines can be fun, too.
